Meg

Megan is like a sister to me. Even though she's a couple years younger than I am she has the same view on the world as I do. We can talk about anything to each other. She's very responsible [more responsible me] and has a wonderful heart. She's one of the sweetest girls I have ever met. She's so innocent it's like you can't blame her for anything. I wrote this poem for her:
You were there to listen to my stories

You were there to muffle my sobs

And you always care about me

You're my best friend for life

You're my little sister

And the sweetest [and cutest] girl ever

You're the best Meg!

Uncle B.j.

Uncle B.j. can fix almost anything! He works hard at everything he does. Uncle B.j. isn't my blood uncle but he is my brother in Christ. He is going to Central America for World Orphans to talk to churches about opening their church to help orphans. He will also check with churches that already care for orphans to make sure that they are using their funds correctly. My favorite thing about Uncle B.j. is he will always encourage you to do your best. B.j. is really smart. He knew how to read before he was in kindergarten! He will tell you the truth when you ask for it even if it hurts. He isn't mean he's just B.j. If you would like to learn more about B.j. and how you can give toward his mission trip to Central America just find the link titled B.j. Murrey-World Orphans.

My Dad

My dad travels a lot for his job. He works for World Orphans. World Orphans is a ministry that partners with churches around the world to help orphans. It's really cool that he has a job that helps kids and he gets to go all around the world. He is really happy when he comes home and is in a great mood. I'm glad my father enjoys his job. Recently my dad and brother Max went to India on a mission trip. That's the third mission trip Max has been on! Poetry

Personally I love writing poetry. I think it's a great way to express your feelings about anything. I usually write poems about orphans, Africa, and people who I know. This is the first poem I ever wrote in fifth grade!

Africa
Oh this place of poverty, of sickness, of death. When will their souls be relieved? Who will aide them in their time of need? Who will help the widows and the orphans? Who will take a stand for those who can't? Will I be the one to walk alongside the orphan? Will you be the one to give fresh water to the dieing? When will we help those in need? Be the one to stand out to help the orphans and the windows.

I hope that poem brings some light to the subject of Africa. The only reason I know this about Africa is because I've been on a mission trips to Kenya. I have spent time with over 40 boys who have been orphaned. Do not underestimate people just because they are young.

Starting Up

Hi! I'm Veronica and I'm kind of new to this blogging thing. I'm really involved in ministry, music, and mission trips. I love helping people solve problems. I just moved from Texas where my mom and dad were involved in ministry and everything was great. Then God laid on my parents hearts to come to Colorado. It sounded cool to get a fresh start somewhere else. Everyone of our friends were sad to see us go but I knew that God wanted us to do this. God also says that we need to move out of our comfort zones. I'm not complaining. It's been kind of hard on my two brothers Max and A.j. I haven't had too many problems so far. I just hope that by coming here we can impact people and be a light to everyone we meet.
